Gilkey Windows Look Fantastic… While Other Replacement Windows Look Like Afterthoughts
Windows should blend with the home, but sometimes replacement windows look like afterthoughts. Too many replacement window companies do what informally called “Rip and Stick” – is meaning that they rip out the old windows, and stick in the replacement windows without replacing any of the supporting infrastructure or material. The result is that the original window frame is not removed from the wall. In fact, the replacement window frame is almost always inserted within the old window frame. This double framing will look unsightly from the inside, and bulky from the outside.
Our unique honeycombed chambers in the frame of our window gives us an installation advantage. We can remove the frame of the original window, but still preserve your inside wood trim work. Our frame is strong enough to stand alone in the rough opening of the wall.
The result is a beautiful looking finished installation, inside and out. Also, no loss of daylight due to fitting a smaller window within the older window frame.
We Use A Third Party To Conduct Tests That Verify Our Employees’ Standards And Integrity
At Gilkey we take your peace of mind very seriously. That’s why we perform background checks and drug and quality testing on our Installers instead of using untested sub-contractors. Because our Installers work for us, we can ensure that all of our windows are installed to meet our exacting standards.
In addition to having a superior team installing our windows, at Gilkey we use a superior installation process that puts a layer of foam between the window and the wall, ensuring a solid installation, even through extreme temperature changes and the stress that house settling adds stress to your window frames.
