-The NFRC ( National Fenestration Rating Council ) is a non-profit organization that administers the only uniform, independent rating and labeling system for the energy performance of windows and doors.
- Design Pressure rates structural grade and indicates long term performance of the window.
-U-Factor is a measure of heat transmission through a wall or window. The lower the U-Factor the better the insulating value.
-Solar Heat Gain Co-efficient (SHGC) measures how well a window blocks heat from sunlight. The SHGC is the fraction of the heat from the sun that enters through a window. It is expressed as a number between 0 and 1. The lower a window's SHGC, the less solar heat it transmits.
